Celestial Dialogue — From Ethereal Spheres to a New Vision

Celestial Dialogue

Celestial Dialogue detail

Celestial Dialogue began as Ethereal Spheres, a painting I created some years ago. Revisiting it with new eyes, I found myself in conversation with the work, reshaping it into something more layered and resonant. What emerged was a dialogue — not just between spheres, but between the earlier version of myself and the artist I am today.

Evolution of the Painting

Ethereal Spheres had always held a dreamlike quality, but it also felt unresolved. This year I returned to it with fresh intent. I kept the sense of floating light and geometry, but I built in new rhythms, contrasts, and overlays. The result is a piece that speaks with greater clarity — a meeting of shapes that feels alive, as though the spheres are engaged in their own celestial conversation.

Though not part of my Ogham Tree series, Celestial Dialogue is a cousin to that work. It shares a fascination with pattern, symbolic geometry, and the interplay between earth and sky. But it stands apart as its own vision, a work that bridges my earlier explorations with where my painting practice is now.

Then and Now

Ethereal Spheres — the earlier version of this painting

Reworking an older piece is a dialogue in itself: past intentions, present insights, and the willingness to listen across time. In this case, the conversation brought me closer to what I wanted the painting to express — a sense of luminous space, a quiet yet profound exchange between light and form.

Reflection

To me, Celestial Dialogue is about listening across distances. Stars to earth, silence to pattern, past self to present self. It carries forward the dreamlike atmosphere of Ethereal Spheres, but now the voice is stronger, clearer, and more true to where I am as an artist today.
