My hair is growing out so the roots are very light and seem to be part of my skin. This is my proposed "BEFORE" set of photos for my project of this year, to work on bodily alignment, flexibility and strength, with Iyengar Yoga.

Low Sodium Lifestyle

Because The Husband was severely ill with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) last week, we have had to change our way of eating to eliminate as much sodium as we can. I have given away or thrown out a lot of high-sodium foods this past week! Because of my lipedema I need to eat that way as well; my lower carb intake helps eliminate fluids so I have not reduced sodium to the point we are now. TH eats more carbs so I am working hard on purchasing and preparing sodium bargains. One site that is helpful is Healthy Heart Market.

He no longer has the diagnosis of CHF. Now his diagnosis is cardiomyopathy (enlarged heart). The doctors hope that with medications, his heart will have a chance to strengthen and recover over the next few months.

Goal Again ...

Before and After
I read on 3fatchicks.com forum about a site named True Weight. I did their calculation and found I am at my true weight now! 163 is what they recommend given my age, size, history, and bone structure. So now I can work on maintenance. Not sure why I was trying to get to 155. It is the middle of the healthy weight range for my height on Weight Watchers, but I look and feel good at my current weight, and have been maintaining it for a few weeks. When I weigh in at WW, I of course have clothing on, so my goal there is 164, to compensate for very light clothing.

I appreciate all the support I have received from my friends and family.

Damaged Goods :(

I wanted a KitchenAid stand mixer, but did not want to pay full price. Well, I guess you DO get what you pay for! This mixer is very heavy, but the sender packaged it in one layer of small bubble wrap and surrounded it with brown paper packing in one layer of cardboard box. Either it was leaking oil originally or it got damaged in transit. Most likely in transit.

I really would rather have had the mixer than have to return the blasted thing.
