The New Bins!

I bought these new laundry bins because the old ones were flimsy and annoying, and had only three bags. In this arrangement, I have categories that were mostly floor piles in the past. I am just thrilled; isn't that weird?

In a former life you were a postal worker!
I've NEVER understood why their aren't more laundry chutes (except now washing machines are often upstairs, which is as good).

I used to love laundry chutes and dumb-waiters as a child - and I never died, which is a good thing.

Maybe that's why you don't see them often - children love 'em.

I used to slide down the laundry chute regularly, until I was too large to get in there any more. Mother had a large wooden drawer at the bottom, and there was always a pile of clothing and sheets in it, so it was a soft landing, with lots of laughing.

By the way, the old sorter had three mesh bags hanging on it, so I hung them from removable plastic hooks on the side of the washer. Now I have SEVEN categories of laundry, all labeled: 1. black 2. colors 3. white 4. towels 5. red 6. special 7. delicate. Life is good!
