Walter Willets of the Harvard School of Public Health: "If Americans could eliminate sugary beverages, potatoes, white bread, pasta, white rice and sugary snacks, we would wipe out almost all the problems we have with weight and diabetes and other metabolic diseases."

Sugar, by which I mean:

High-Fructose Corn Syrup, Corn Sweetener, Corn Syrup, Fructose, Fruit Juice Concentrate, Honey, Brown Sugar, Syrup, Glucose (Dextrose), Invert Sugar, Lactose, Maltose, Sugar (Sucrose), Molasses, Raw Sugar,

... is highly addictive and does not contain much in the way of nutritive value.

Fructose... that's the swine that does for me! 1 teaspoon and I'm ill! I can't even eat apples as they are bursting with it.
