Chateau Montelena (the featured vineyard in this movie) was not on my radar, but few vineyards are, really. This movie is based upon the true story of a blind tasting competition in France in 1976, in which the tasters were surprised to find they actually liked California wines. Now, of course, that is old news, and we can buy Australian and South American wines which are excellent as well.
The movie is fairly good, and the setting was the actual vineyard, which lent interest to it. As usual, Alan Rickman was enjoyable to watch, as was Bill Pullman, and the young actors did a creditable job as well.
