The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

I saw this film yesterday without knowing anything about its content. I found it by turns horrifying, funny and beautiful. I reviewed it here.

I'm Baaaack!

Photo by SONY. I can't upload my digital camera photos yet ... don't see a port for the memory card. Tee by Osprey. I wore this shirt today to give me luck in choosing a laptop.

Short and (now) Sweet!

This is my triumphant return! I now have a laptop, so I can communicate no matter where I am, and I will, as you can imagine ....

Absence = Fondness?

Well, I hope so, because I will be gone for at least a few days, while my computer is undergoing open-case surgery. Pray for it!

Quiet Evening Redux

World Sink

My friend Esperanza gave me this hands-shaped soap dish after I admired hers. I found this loofah dish scrubber at the health food store. It swelled up with water and turned into a a sort of earth, and I thought it looked dear in the hands. I think of it as washing the earth when I am washing my dishes.

Next to it is my bar of Dr. Bronner's soap that has the imprint ALL-ONE! which definitely describes my feeling about humanity. That is the message I am trying to inscribe on my heart. All of us are ONE BEING. Sometimes I have trouble letting certain humans in, mentally, when they seem immature, chaotic and destructive, but I have to keep trying to include everyone in my image of Humanity.

Book Addicts Anonymous

When it comes to books, I am a hoarder, always thinking I will re-read them. I have often bought books in hardcover for that very reason. Today I dropped off 35 books at the local library, which sells books to help support the library, and then I came home and cleared out one entire bookcase.

The result was a back end book dump for my car. I just got it cleared out!
