Enjah the Anarchist

I was looking in Osprey's archives for the funny little games page I had found a while back, and I found this thing that shows what party one believes in. HEY, what fun--I am an anarchist! Nod has always said he is one, so we actually agree, although he believes we have to stick it out in Iraq and I think that is impossible and absurd. WHATEVER.

The Room of My Soul

What Your Soul Really Looks Like

You are quite expressive and thoughtful. You see the world in a way that others are blind to.

You are a very grounded, responsible, and realistic person. People may not want to hear the truth from you, but they're going to get it.

You see yourself with pretty objective eyes. How you view yourself is almost exactly how other people view you.

Your near future is all about change, but in very small steps. The end of the journey looks far, but it's much closer than you realize.

For you, love is all about caring and comfort. You couldn't fall in love with someone you didn't trust.

83 feels like 96

Osprey put her weather forecast up on her blog saying "0 to 90 in 10 seconds" (or something close to that). I thought she might enjoy seeing our current weather and the forecast for the week ahead. the forecast does not include the humidity, which (mwahahaha) makes a big
difference ... 92% today!! This is the usual weather for this time of year.

The forecast says we will have a spell of cool weather ... 89 degrees, yippee!.

Granny Gator

At the hospital we were in the Cardiovascular waiting room while my son had open heart surgery yesterday. His 12-year-old daughter was sitting next to me and said that my daughter looked like a penguin. I responded to this non-sequitur with a question about what animal I resembled. She said promptly, "an alligator".

This is one of my 22 major arcana cards of the Global Tarot. I am still working on the rest.

Death is a MAJOR transformation ... flying into the unknown ... what an adventure!!!

The Great Cleansing Has Begun

It was with trembling hands that I consigned this squeeze bottle of chocolate syrup to the sewer.

It was gently aged, as I had kept it on hand for medicinal purposes only ... in case of emergency. Now I am on my own, with only my bitter chocolate and the bars sweetened with oligofructose ... this is one of the terrible choices one must make in life.

Still Life with Merlot

I was about to roast these peppers when I realized how beautiful they are!

Hope you enjoy them too. Take notice of the wine stopper ... I could not resist it and its siblings.

Snake Pancake Anyone?

This baby snake was on the pavement in front of our house today. I have no idea what sort of snake it was, but judging by the size it was very young and had never heard of cars.

Scrabble Gone Bad

When we played scrabble in the dining room, my son Steve got this horrendous draw of six O's.

Tower of Babes

It was a beautiful day on the tower. Then Osprey decided to write something that horrified her! We may never know what it was, but she sat silently after that, contemplating ....

Global Tarot Exhibit

I put up a show of my Global Tarot in my Second Life gallery. I added five sayings to each card so that people can get something from the experience, and they are not for sale. Even in this design, having only one tarot key in your space would be inviting unbalanced energies.

Isadora, Maybe The Scarves Are Too Long!

Robyn sent me this WONDERFUL cutout card of Isadora Duncan, dressed in her typical flowing scarf. Strangely, while we were in Nice we saw the spot where she died. Our mini-bus driver pointed it out as we drove along the Promenade des Anglais. She was wearing, as usual, a very long dramatic silk scarf. It caught in the rear wheel and killed her. For the gory details, see this site.
