Sainte Paul de Vence

St. Paul de Vence is a medieval hilltop walled village. These photos were taken of the town itself.

What did it smell like? I love these pics.

I do not recall an odor, the air was fresh ... it was all hotels, restaurants and art galleries. One of the restaurants, la Colombe d'Or, is very famous because Simone Signoret and Yves Montand used to hang out there. Also Marc Chagall is buried in the village cemetery.

These narrow streets are gorgeous. I am inspired to draw now.
